CE Solutions
In November 2002, CTI received initial accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to directly sponsor CME activities for physicians. Following a review in 2004, the accreditation was continued through November 2008. CTI received a rating of Exemplary Compliance with Element 2.2 of Essential Area 2, the needs assessment criterion of educational activity planning.
In January 2007, the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) granted CTI provider status through January 2011 as a provider of continuing education for pharmacists.
The mission of CTI's Department of Professional Education is to maintain
and develop, regionally and nationally, the clinical competence of practicing physicians, pharmacists, and other health care professionals through educational activities that will enrich and extend their medical knowledge and skills as well as enhance their professional performance.
Our programs are designed to assess the learning needs of target audiences by identifying where gaps in knowledge, skills, and attitudes may exist, particularly in the areas of state-of-the-art medical practice, medical advances, new therapies and drugs, and emerging technologies, and then developing activities to bridge those gaps.
Our CE activities include both live events (symposia) and enduring materials (monographs, symposia proceedings, and internet-based programs).
